Coronavirus Update 11th May 2021

Dear Owners,

Re: Covid 19 Lockdown Update

Firstly, we would like to thank you for your patience and understanding through this difficult time.

After the Prime Minister’s speech on Sunday, 10th May 2020 we felt it vital that we write to you immediately to clarify our position at Bancroft Leisure.   As lockdown restrictions are relaxed or lifted in England it is important that you know that, for now, Wales still remains closed.   The First Minister of Wales has jurisdiction over us during lockdown and he gave an address on 8th May extending our full lockdown for a further three weeks.

Unfortunately, this does mean that you still cannot visit your holiday home with us.

We know and understand how upsetting this is for you all.  We want nothing more than to welcome you all back safely.   But that is the key word “safely’.  For now, the information we are receiving is that the virus in North Wales still hasn’t reached its peak.   So please do not travel to us.   Should you turn up at the Parks we will have to turn you away. The North Wales Police are also strictly patrolling the roads in and out and are issuing fines accordingly.

If you watched the Prime Ministers recorded announcement on Sunday night, we are sure you will agree that it totally lacked any real definitive answers or solutions to the many questions/problems we all have. However, both the Prime Minister and the First Minister of Wales have agreed that the hospitality sector, including Caravan Parks will not be opening up until July.  We desperately hope that this is the case and it is not put back to a later date. Please rest assured that we will be opening as soon as we possibly can and it is safe to do so.

In the meantime, we continue to check on your caravans daily.   The wardens remain on both parks as security.   Grass is still being cut.  General maintenance is still being carried out.   Our great staff are still remaining at home keeping safe.

We know that many of our caravan owners are Key Workers and we would like to thank you all for your outstanding contribution helping us get through this difficult time. We hope you are being looked after by your employers and systems have been put in place to reduce any risk to yourselves.

After the Prime Ministers announcement, many of you may be returning back to work after nearly 7 weeks of lock down. Please take care, your health is the most important thing. If at all possible please stay home and stay safe.

We will continue to post any updates or changes as soon as they happen, please monitor our website and/or our Facebook page.  But rest assured the minute we know when we are safe to reopen, you will be the first to know.

In the meantime, if you would like to discuss anything in particular please do not hesitate to contact us by telephone. The best telephone numbers to use are:

Land line: 01745 852563       Mobile 07974 350 329 (Guy)       Mobile 07974 350 328 (Mark)

Or email us on:

We look forward to welcoming you back to Silver Birch and Tan Y Don sooner rather than later, regulations permitting. The Parks are like ghost towns without you all.

Kind regards,

Mark and Guy
