The Welsh Mountain Zoo is set in North Wales, high above Colwyn Bay with panoramic views and breathtaking scenery; its beautiful gardens are home to this caring conservation zoo.

Enjoy the exciting and extensive Jungle Adventureland and Tarzan Trail Adventure Playground. For the more technically inclined, visit our Media Centre, where you can do a virtual tour of the Zoo and play some great educational games.

Bodelwyddan Castle, close to the village of Bodelwyddan, near Rhyl, Denbighshire in Wales, was built around 1460 by the Humphreys family of Anglesey as a manor house

Its most important association was with the Williams-Wynn family, which extended for around 200 years from 1690.

It is now a Grade II Listed Building that is well worth a visit and offers a great day out.

Few things say ‘seaside holiday’ quite like a stroll along the pier, and Llandudno Pier is a real gem! With its Grade II listed status, it’s a traditional seaside pier dating from the late 1800s with an array of shops, cafes, bars and attractions – offering fun for all the family!

At the pier head, there’s a bar where you can enjoy a drink, and a separate café for a tasty meal, an ice cream or a tempting afternoon cake. If you fancy catching your own supper there’s a fishing platform. Day fishing permits, rod and tackle hire, bait and equipment are available at the fishing tackle shop located at the rear entrance of the Pier (on Happy Valley Road).

Enjoy a ride on the Llandudno Cable Car during your visit to the beautiful resort. Opened on 30 June 1969 as the longest passenger cable car system in Britain, this unique experience continues to be one of town’s most popular attractions.

As the Llandudno Cable Cars glide silently from Happy Valley to the summit of the Great Orme, 679 feet up, you can take in the jaw-dropping panoramic views of the Bay of Llandudno, the Little Orme, the Conwy Estuary and miles out over the Iris Sea.

And then look down on the beautiful gardens of Happy Valley or glimpse the action at the Llandudno Ski & Snowboard Centre. The distance to the summit is just over a mile and the leisurely journey takes about nine minutes on an endless steel rope.

Bridlewood Riding Centre is situated in pleasant rural surroundings in the county of Flintshire North Wales. Known as the gateway to Wales. Marsh Tracks is an award winning new and exciting venture in Rhyl, North Wales.

t comprises of a 1.3 km closed circuit road cycling track and a national standard BMX race track featuring a Bensink start gate (exactly the same as the 2012 Olympic BMX track) and challenging jumps and berms. In addition to these two tracks a third brand new mountain bike track has recently been opened allowing people to test their skills!

Conwy Castle dominates the mouth of the River Conwy and the medieval walled town of Conwy in North Wales like a huge goliath and serves as the major tourist attraction in the county of Conwy.

The castle was built on the orders of King Edward I of England and construction began in 1283 under the direction of Edward’s chief architect James of St. George.

Today the castle is one of the best preserved castles in the whole of North Wales.

A brute of a fortress. Caernarfon Castle’s pumped-up appearance is unashamedly muscle-bound and intimidating. Picking a fight with this massive structure would have been a daunting prospect.

By throwing his weight around in stone, King Edward I created what is surely one of the most impressive of Wales’s castles. Worthy of World Heritage status no less!

Velocity is “The Nearest Thing to Flying” Home to the longest zip line in Europe and the fastest in the world. This adrenalin fuelled attraction offers visitors a totally unique experience. Speeds in excess of 100mph can be reached.

Imagine giant trampolines, walkways, slides and tunnels all made from netting. Now picture this suspended in a slate cavern hidden underground and you’ll have the right idea.

After all these years – over 150, actually – it’s still a big favourite with everyone, including the esteemed Bill Bryson.

Llandudno’s immaculate seafront, gracefully framed by two headlands, is a seaside classic.

It’s a proper resort, with a pier, Punch and Judy and Donkey Man and even Alice in Wonderland.

The championship links course at Prestatyn is set in 150 acres of superb unspoilt links land.

Voted in the top ten winter links, the stunning course, welcoming clubhouse, and challenges like no other, combine to provide for exceptional golfing and socialising. Prestatyn Golf Club enjoys a temperate climate and its seaside nature ensures that golfers can play all 18 greens, the year round on superb turf.

Set in the beautiful Vale of Clwyd, Rhuddlan is a course which offers fine views and a sheltered climate screened by the Clwydian Range. A gently undulating parkland course of 6291 yards, SSS 70, par 72 (Yellow tees), providing an excellent test of golf and is a regularly chosen venue for County and National Championship Events.

Spectacular all weather singletrack trail centres like Coed Y Brenin, Cwm Carn, Afan Forest Park, Coed Llandegla, Nant yr Arian and Gwydyr forest. DH and freeride hot spots or wild back country riding in the Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons and other beautiful areas. Wales has everything a mountain biker could want.

There is 34 miles of cycle path along the North Wales coast between Talacre and Penmaenmawr. It is mostly hard surfaced and nearly continuously off-road.

A friendly watersports centre based in the exciting new facilities at Porth Eirias. North Wales is a fantastic destination for watersports lovers with great access from North West England. Based on the amazing Blue Flag beach in Colwyn Bay on the North Wales coast, they offer tuition in sailing, windsurfing and power boating through the RYA scheme, as well as hire from a fleet of sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, canoeing and SUP kit.
